One place for the whole trip. Record it from the first idea to the last night, let Boswell — the assistant — file the paperwork and help write the days, then bind it into a journal you can hold.
Free · phone and computer · works without signalStops and nights, the way between them, each day hour by hour, the places you mean to see — then the diary, the photographs and the money as it happens.
The whole journey ↓
Bookings and receipts go where they belong. In the morning it says what is next; in the evening it asks about the day and drafts it in your words.
What Boswell does ↓Choose how it leans and a style; the pages are laid out from your diary and the photographs you marked. Move anything, then keep a PDF.
How the journal is made ↓One fictional trip — Lisbon, Madrid, Marrakesh, Essaouira, 15 days — kept in one place all the way through. Most tools take one phase; this one carries all three.
Stops and nights, the way between them, every day hour by hour.

Days, the map and Boswell are one tap apart; the diary, photographs and costs go on the day they happened.
The app opens on everywhere you have been. The day you leave, the same first screen turns into the day in front of you — and turns back when you are home.

Everything you add is saved on the phone first and goes up on its own when there is signal; Sync says plainly what is on the server and what is still waiting. Download a trip before you leave and its map comes too: with no signal, the Map draws from the copy kept on the phone — every stop, and the streets around it.

Nothing more to type. What you kept on the way turns into three things to keep.

All three at once: the route opens the book, each city a chapter, every day its diary and its photographs.
How the journal is made ↓Boswell lives in its own tab, beside Stops, Days and Map. It reads what you hand it and always shows what it found before anything is filed — leave it out, correct it, or file it.
Forward the confirmation or drop in the PDF. Boswell reads the dates, the times, the reference and the price, shows you what it found, and files it on the right day of the right trip.
Photograph the day’s receipts, up to 10 at a time. A meal goes on the evening it was eaten; a purchase into expenses, in the money it was paid in.
In the morning, the day ahead in a few lines. In the evening, what is still loose: a cost with no receipt, a day not yet written up.
Ask what you would ask a well-travelled friend. Boswell answers knowing where you are, where you sleep and what you have planned — and can put what it suggests on your checklist.
Too tired to write? Boswell asks 2 or 3 questions about the day and drafts the entry from your answers. Keep it, change it, or write your own.
Lost twice in the souk before the riad found us. Dinner at Al Fassia — the lamb, and nothing else needed saying.

Named after James Boswell, the diarist, who wrote a life down closely enough that the record outlived it. Your record is stored in Singapore, and who sees it is yours to set.
